Kaddish קדיש
The Kaddish is a tremendously powerful prayer and is central to the established prayer services. It is customary to recite it for the merit of the departed, emphasizing God´s exalted greatness and majesty, and acknowledging His absolute dominion over this world and the entire universe. This prayer is a compelling expression of our acknowledgment of the spiritual world, and our acceptance of the soul´s journey there.

Kaddish is recited during the first year, and every year on the yartzheit of the departed. In some communities Kaddish is recited through the week of the yartzheit. When the relatives of the departed are not able to recite the Kaddish themselves, it is customary for them to hire someone to recite Kaddish on their behalf, as this prayer is greatly beneficial to the soul of the departed.

Diskin´s staff invest themselves heart and soul throughout the year to give orphans and needy children life-giving, nurturing love, care and support. When a family needs someone to recite Kaddish on behalf of relatives who have left this world, it is certainly most appropriate to have those dedicated people who staff Diskin perform the task. They are totally devoted to supporting and building new lives for orphans who have no one else to turn to. The Kaddish will be rendered even more powerful through the strength of their merits.

Mourner´s Kaddish
May His great Name be exalted and sanctified;

In the world that He created, in accordance with His Will.

May He establish His reign during your lifetime and in your days, and in the lifetime of all the House of Israel, quickly and soon; and say: Amen.

May His Great Name be blessed forever and ever.

May the Name of the Blessed Holy One be blessed, praised, made glorious, exalted, extolled, made magnificent and lofty, and acclaimed,

Blessed is He.

Beyond every blessing and song, praise and consolation that can be expressed in this world; and say: Amen.
