Yartzheit – The yartzheit is the anniversary of a person’s passing from this world. This is a most significant day, observed by the relatives and acquaintances of the departed. It is customary to commemorate the day by saying prayers in memory of the departed, studying Torah in his merit, lighting a candle, giving charity and engaging in other meritorious acts to elevate his soul. It is also customary to visit the grave site, when possible.
Turn to Diskin to remind you of your loved one’s yartzheit, to light a candle, to say prayers and to study Torah in his/her memory and merit. Giving charity to support the orphans of Diskin is a wonderful act to honor and elevate the soul of your loved one.
